The Associated Press Released its 2016 Pre-Season Rankings on Sunday Morning. The Louisville Cardinals were selected to start the season at #19.

This is the 1st pre-season AP ranking for Louisville since 2013 and the 1st of the Bobby Petrino 2.0 era. The Cards were ranked #9 in the pre-season poll in 2013 & #25 in the 2014 pre-season poll. UofL was also ranked #10 in 2007, #13 in 2006, #12 in 2005, #17 in 2002 in the Pre-Season AP Polls in Recent Years.
