“Cough … cough … I think I’m coming down with something,” says one in seven fans that have called in sick just to catch the tournament basketball games. It is a known fact that companies across the country see a decline in work productivity because of a condition known as March Madness. That is why the Galt House Hotel and Blessings in a Backpack are teaming up for the perfect defense for an “out-of-office” meeting on Thursday, March 17th from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.!

Galt House Hotel is proud to introduce the Beefsteak, Bourbon, and Basketball! Guests will relish in a slam dunk, all-you-can-eat experience, featuring hand passed bourbon and cocktails! Watch the tournament action on large screen TVs and relax with your bracket on an outdoor patio with a cigar lounge.

Fans can post-up with a menu of unlimited grilled steaks served on toasted French bread with seasoned mushrooms and tobacco onions on the side, mini crab cakes, fresh house made potato chips, and asparagus Au gratin. This delicious cuisine will be served on platters tableside.

Cheer on your favorite team while scoring points in the paint with featured drinks. Hydrate and refuel with hand-passed signature cocktails, bourbon, bottles of domestic and craft beers, and RIVUE signature wines.

Win or lose, guests will leave with a RIVUE gift card, Chef’s apron, and an event glass. Try your luck by purchasing a $50 raffle ticket for a grand prize of two tickets to the 2016 Division I Men’s Championship games, 4-night hotel stay in Houston, TX, and $1,000 towards airfare. All raffle tickets and a portion of the event ticket proceeds benefit Blessings in a Backpack charity.

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends to over 87,000 elementary school children across 47 states (including Washington, D.C.) who might otherwise go hungry. Currently in the Louisville area, 6,000 children benefit from the program.
