Football is in the air, or at least it will be on March 22 when the University of Louisville football team officially opens spring practice under seventh-year head coach Bobby Petrino.
The Cardinals begin spring drills that day and will practice every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday culminating with the Red-White game on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m.
Including the spring game, the Cardinals will conduct six open practices for the fans. The first practice on March 22 at 3:50 p.m. will be open, as well as, practices on March 29-30and April 5-6. All the practices will begin at approximately 3:50 p.m.
The Cardinals return 46 letterwinners and 18 starters from last season’s 8-5 squad that won the Music City Bowl with a 27-21 victory over Texas A&M.
