Louisville Football secured its 15th commitment of the 2017 Signing Class when German Offensive Tackle Gerrik Vollmer announced his pledge to the Cards on Twitter. Vollmer is the Left Tackle for the German National team and recently camped at UofL and also spent last season at Philip Barbour High School in Philippi, WV. Originally from Hamburgh, Germany Gerrik was a Class 2-A All-State player last season as a Junior.
The 6’5 280 lbs new Cardinal is expected to attend Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut in 2016. Louisville was Gerrik’s 1st offer but he had also received interest from Marshall. Vollmer is not rated yet by any of the 3 main recruiting services.
