Coming off a visit to UConn that “went very well” according Christian Vital, the 6’2″ combo guard will now visit Louisville on Friday April, 22nd. Vital is headed into the visit looking to find the right school for him “I’m going and seeing a potential destination for myself in college.” Vital said, “They (UofL) stand very high as well as UConn and Iowa. I’m just making sure I do the most to feel 100% sure about my decision.”

Vital, who decommitted from UNLV in March, definitely likes the possibility of playing for Louisville and Coach Pitino. “They have so much history from me growing up watching them play on TV in the Garden. Also, playing for a coach like Coach P is a once in a lifetime opportunity. They are a school when I was younger I said I wish I could go to a school like them, to play at that level in college. To have the potential to win a national championship.”

Vital has maintained constant contact with coach Kenny Johnson and says that the staff is optimistic about next year “I speak to Coach Johnson like, everyday. He is very optimistic about next year.” With the NCAA yet to rule on the investigation, Vital gave his thoughts as to whether that weighs at all on his decision “It’s something I think about, but if it was an extreme thing in my mind I wouldn’t have Louisville in my final 3.”
