LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville’s 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship banner will be revealed in a pregame ceremony prior to the Cardinals’ opening game against College of Charleston on Saturday.  Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 12:45 p.m. to view the presentation.  Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

The banner will be on display in the upper end of the KFC Yum! Center aside the Cardinals’ 1980 and 1986 NCAA Championship banners, UofL’s additional seven Final Four banners, and the 1948 NAIB and 1956 NIT Championship banners.  A special video of the Cardinals’ championship run will be played during the ceremony and the pregame video prior to player introductions will also have a championship theme that will be used solely for this opening game.

Exclusively for the opening game, the Louisville team will wear the same style of sleeved adidas uniforms that the Cardinals wore during their 2013 Big East Championship and NCAA Tournament Championship run.

UofL schedule posters will be available at the entrance to the arena celebrating the national title.

Fans will have an opportunity to take pictures with the NCAA Championship trophy in the arena lobby prior to the game.  Fans will also have a photo opportunity until game time with one of the actual Werner ladders used during the post-game net cutting from April in Atlanta.  A basketball goal will be set up near the Woodford Reserve Club on the concourse level at the rear of the KFC Yum! Center for the fan photo session.

A limited number of tickets, priced at $39 each, remain available for the game.  Tickets are on sale at the UofL Ticket Office, located near Gate 2 of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium at 2800 South Floyd Street. The ticket office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Cardinal fans may also purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center.
