Louisville Small Forward VJ King will miss Saturday’s game vs. Virginia Tech. Rick Pitino told media on Friday afternoon about King’s condition, who suffered a thigh bruise in practice. VJ is expected to miss just one game and should return to action vs. North Carolina.
King has been averaging 14.7 minutes per game and has tallied 6.7 ppg, shooting 45.7% from 3-point range.
Losing King puts the Cards in a tough spot again from a roster perspective, but UofL has managed to play well despite losing time with Quentin Snider, Matz Stockman, Tony Hicks, Mangok Mathiang & Deng Adel this season. Virginia Tech employs a small line-up and does not have a deep bench, so we will what affect this has on the Cards vs. the Hokies.
