Chane is back folks, and climbing the TVT ladder quickly. His efforts have vaulted him (mathematically) into 2nd position behind Harrell – and above, amazingly enough, Russ. His prior two games were higher TVT than Missouri State – but consistency is helping him hold the slight margin over Russ.
Here is the break down for Missouri State.
Player Notes:
SVT: has had back to back games like we know he can have. Big stats in little minutes. If we can get a solid 10-15 out of him each game – this team is going to be tough to beat. 8 rebounds in 11 minutes, 5 offensive – whoa.
Mathiang: He has been steadily producing game in and game out. The extra PT is helping him. In the past 6 games he is now more productive per minute than Blackshear, Rozier, and Jones. Bet you wouldn’t have guessed that, huh?
Blackshear: He scored a .70 per minute rating, which is a phenomenal score – but with the WHOLE TEAM raising the bar on previous year numbers he was actually 7th most productive in the game ( I don’t count Gill, only played 3 minutes, need 5 to qualify). That is a compliment to the team. They have looked very good collectively post UNC loss.
Team Notes
Rebounding: 2 of last 3 games Cards rebounded better than 65% of their missed shots – way above average. To put in perspective – no opponent has rebounded better than 46% of their misses against cards – not even UNC.
Shooting: Cards have shot better than 50% in past 3 games.
Blocks/Steals: Cards combined for 9, highest in past 6 games. Had 8 vs. Southern miss.
Weird Stat
What is more weird – 18 assists in 2 games for Russ – or – 18 rebounds in 2 games for Rozier? I hope this weirdness continues.
