The 11-2 Albany Great Danes will come to the KFC Yum! Center to square off vs. the Cards in the final game of the Gotham Classic. The Great Danes are no pushover opponent for the Cards with 11 wins already on the season over the likes of Iona, Boston, Yale, Dartmouth, Holy Cross and Columbia. While Albany has dominated much of its mid-major competition thus far they did press Memphis late into the 2nd half with a tie game with 10 minutes to go and late game free throws pushed the final lead to 9.

The Great Danes are lead by a very dynamic backcourt of David Nichols (15.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg 3.5 ast, 1.9 stl), Joe Cremo (17.8 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.3 ast) and are bolstered by a stout, yet not tall front court with standouts like Travis Charles (14.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Greg Stire (7.3 ppg, 7.8 reb).
