Louisville fans are encouraged to follow @VegasMainEvent on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and use #CardsInVegas.  The event is managed by Kentucky-based sports marketing firm bdG Sports.

The tournament will mark Louisville’s first trip west since playing Grand Canyon in Phoenix in 2016. Their last trip to Vegas for a tournament was in 2007.

The Cardinals return three of their top nine scorers (two of its top six), including a pair of late-season starters in senior forward/center Malik Williams and sophomore guard David Johnson.  Despite losing 75 percent of its scoring from the Cardinals’ successful team last season, UofL has received Top 25 recognition by many media outlets projecting the top college basketball teams for the 2020-21 season.

Last season, the Cardinals (24-7, 15-5 ACC) finished the year positioned eighth in the nation in the NCAA’s NET rankings (No. 14 AP, No. 13 USA Today).  It was the best overall record through 31 games for a Louisville team in six years and marked the most conference victories for the Cardinals in their six years in the ACC.
