Former Louisville Cardinals are carrying contracts worth $409,958,353 this year in the NFL. That value is significantly up from 2022 thanks to Lamar Jackson’s NFL record-setting contact of 5 years, $260,000,000 (which was just broken by the Charger’s Justin Herbert). Louisville also has the league’s highest cornerback for the 2nd year in a row in Jaire Alexander.

The amount former UofL Football players are set to earn in 2023 is currently $137,390,604.

We are keeping an eye on John Miller as a veteran guard that could sign with a franchise after playing last season with the Jaguars. Also former Card Justin Marshall was with the Falcons until two weeks ago, so we’ll continue to monitor his situation as well.

Louisville also has a number of former players with coaching or admin roles in the NFL. This year Jon Gannon is the new Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals signing a 5-year deal. We don’t know what Gannon is making as the HC, but NFL Head Coaches roughly make between $5-$8M per season.

-Dave Ragone is the Offensive Coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons.

-Sam Madison is the Cornerbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins.

-Jay Gruden is an offensive consultant for the Los Angeles Rams.

-Roman Oben is the VP of Football Development for the NFL.
