Bobby Petrino & Dan Mullen appear to have pulled off a trade in their defensive coordinators.   Todd Grantham is heading to Starkville and Peter Sirmon is headed to Louisville.  Sirmon coached at Mississippi State for one season and has coached at USC, Washington, Tennessee & Oregon.  Sirmon also played for the Oregon Ducks and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 2000 Draft and was with the Titans until 2006.  Sirmon began his coaching career in 2008 at Central Washington.

Last season at Mississippi State was his 1st season as a Defensive Coordinator, the Bulldogs were 110th in Total Defense allowing 459.1 yards per game.  MSU also gave up 31.8 yards per game and were 93rd in Scoring Defense as well.

Louisville & Coach Sirmon are finalizing the details of the contract as we speak and we expect Peter to be announced by UofL soon.
