According to an ESPN.com report by Max Olson former TCU Defensive End Devonte Fields has been cleared to play at UofL.
Fields told Olson via text that he will enroll at Louisville on 8/4 and will begin fall camp two days later on 8/6. The former Big 12 Player of the Year was the #2 Junior College Player in the country for the 2015 signing class. Devonte’s arrival will round Todd Grantham’s aggressive defense into form for 2015 and will shore up an already deep linebacking corps. Fields had 53 Tackles, 18.5 TFLs, 2 Forced Fumbles, an INT, and 10 Sacks as a freshman for the Horned Frogs.
Fields is a part of the Cards 2015 signing class from Trinity Valley Community College after being dismissed from TCU following a misdemeanor assault charge that was dropped this Spring.
Petrino still is waiting for signees James Allen and Chandler Jones to arrive to campus. All others from the February class are on campus and have been working out.
