ESPN’s Brett McMurphy has confirmed that Charlie Strong has decided to accept The University of Texas’ offer to become the next head coach of the Texas Longhorns.
The decision was expected. Strong is expected to accept a 5-year, $5 Million per year offer from Texas that will be announced tomorrow and introduced on Monday.
A team meeting with the University of Louisville Football Team is scheduled at 5:00 tomorrow that was regularly scheduled for the team to come back for the Fall Semester.
TheCrunchZone.com will bring a list of candidates that we have been hearing over the past few days to replace Coach Strong. Strong is not expected to take all of his assistant coaches with him to Austin. Clint Hurtt reportedly most definitely will not be accompanying Strong to Texas due to his ‘show cause’ penalty levied by the NCAA from the 3-year Miami investigation. Hurtt’s ‘show cause’ status expires this summer.
