Wide receiver Chris Bell and linebacker TJ Quinn of the University of Louisville football team were named Atlantic Coast Conference Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Bell was named the league’s Wide Receiver of the Week and Quinn the Linebacker of the Week after guiding the Cardinals to a 34-27 win over Pittsburgh last Saturday at Acrisure Stadium.
Bell set new career highs with 10 catches for 135 yards and a touchdown as the offense accounted for 339 yards through the air. It was Bell’s third career 100-yard game and the first this season, He tied the score at 17-17 in the second quarter with a 25-yard touchdown reception – his second on the year.
Quinn recorded a pair of interceptions, including one in the final minute that sealed Louisville’s first conference win. It marked the first two interceptions of Quinn’s career.
The Cardinals return home this weekend at face No. 24 Virginia at L&N Stadium.
