A brutal first quarter… one where Louisville would score first, a 3 by Arica Carter….. but that would be all the scoring for the Cards until a final layup underneath to close it out by Jazzy Jones…. UCONN would score 19 straight against the Cards.   Like I said, brutal.

Asia Durr missed her first five shots before finishing with 20 points to lead the Cardinals. Myisha Hines-Allen finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season, while Arica Carter had 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Cards were losing by 20 at half and by final had cut the lead to 11.  They had 10 assists as team for the entire game…. not good.  They did win second half, however.  That first quarter would haunt the Cards the rest of the night.  But they will live to see another day.

The Card’s 5-game win streak haulted by the Huskies, the Cards are 12 points and perhaps 2 more quarters of basketball away from being undefeated on the 2018 campaign.  The Cards have 2 more road games before returning home to the Yum! Center later next week.
