The Road to Omaha for the University of Louisville baseball team will resume on Friday night when the Cardinals host Kennesaw State in game one of the NCAA Super Regional at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Friday’s Super Regional opener is set for a 6:30 p.m., ET start and will be televised nationally on ESPNU, while game two of the best-of-three series is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m., ET on ESPNU. If necessary, the deciding third game is set for Sunday at 6 p.m., on ESPN2 with the winning team advancing to the 2014 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

All-Session tickets for the Louisville Super Regional are currently on sale. Fans can purchase all-session tickets online at GoCards.com, by phone (502-GO-CARDS) or through the UofL Ticket Office. All-session tickets for the Super Regional are $45 for reserved chairback seats, $25 for general admission and outfield berm seating and $15 for college students.

The Cardinals (48-15) earned their second straight NCAA Super Regional berth and the fourth in the last eight seasons by winning the Louisville Regional last weekend at Jim Patterson Stadium. Winning 21 of its last 25 games overall, Louisville swept through the double-elimination regional with wins over Kent State (5-0), Kansas (6-3) and Kentucky (4-1).

Kennesaw State (40-22) earned its first NCAA Super Regional berth after clinching the Tallahassee Regional on Monday against Alabama (4-2). The Owls, having won 26 of their last 28 games, opened the postseason with a 1-0 win over the Crimson Tide and a 13-5 victory in 11 innings over Georgia Southern before falling 4-1 to Alabama on Sunday.

Louisville is hosting its second NCAA Super Regional in school history and the first since defeating Oklahoma State in 2007 to earn the program’s first College World Series berth. Riding a six-game postseason winning streak at home, the Cardinals are 13-4 all-time in NCAA Championship games at Jim Patterson Stadium.
