Last night Tom Jurich spoke with WAVE3’s Kent Taylor and squashed the recent reports that he was a candidate for the recently vacated Athletic Director position at the University of Texas.  Jurich told Taylor: ““I’ve always said the grass is extremely green in Louisville, Kentucky, and I mean that, because I’ve seen a lot of my colleagues around the country in my position go take other jobs that’s supposed to be bigger, better, and they’re not.  I think I have the best job in college sports, and I want to stay here as long as everybody will have me.”

Today, Tom Jurich re-iterated his desire to remain the Athletic Director at the University of Louisville on the Ramsey & Rutherford show with John Ramsey & Mike Rutherford on 93.9 FM The Ville.   Jurich said, “I don’t look for other jobs.  I’m not interested in moving. I don’t want to move.”

Tom continued referencing the WAVE 3 report from last night, “I wanted to put an end to it.  I’m not interested in leaving Louisville.  This is my home……. and my job at the University of Louisville is the best job in the United States.  What is there to not like about my job?”

Jurich also added several more quotes regarding his desire to stay with Louisville and his passion to continue to build the athletic department and discussed the football program, the scheduling strategy and much, much more.

The podcast from Ramsey & Rutherford has been added so that fans can listen to his remarks in full context.
