Louisville hosts the final home game of the 2017-18 season tonight at 9:00 vs. the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the NIT Quarterfinals at the KFC Yum! Center.

The Bulldogs are a slightly better offensive team but not much of a threat from 3-point range or at the foul line. MSU also turns the ball over at a high rate.  And whatever small advantage Miss State has offensively they give back with UofL’s slight advantage defensively.

The Bulldogs advanced to the Quarterfinals with a 1 point win in Waco over Baylor and a 1st round win over Nebraska.  Mississippi State was eliminated in the SEC Tournament with a 3 point loss to Tennessee, but MSU has really quality wins:  Texas A&M, Alabama, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas.  The Bulldogs losses this year don’t have anything to be ashamed about either: Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Tennessee (x2) and LSU.

Here is the stat match-up.
