The Louisville women’s basketball team traveled to Albany, NY for the 2019 NCAA Sweet Sixteen. The Cardinals will face the Beavers of Oregon State on Friday with the tip-off tentatively scheduled for 9:30 p.m. EDT.
Head coach Jeff Walz stepped up on the dais along with seniors Asia Durr, Arica Carter, and Jeff Fuehring to answer questions for the media on Thursday during the practice session at the Times Union Center.

JEFF WALZ: First off, I just want to start off by saying I’m the head coach at the University of Louisville. I think Geno would be a wonderful candidate for that position that is open. So before the questions start coming, I’m the head coach at the University of Louisville. I’ve loved it, enjoy it, it’s been great. So now I’ll start talking about our team so we can focus on that.
