Louisville landed a familiar name for the 2018 recruiting class when Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Defensive End Mike Boykin pledged to the Cards. Boykin, now 6’6 275 lbs was a longtime UofL Football commit from July 2015 for the 2016 class. Boykin originally chose UofL over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, and Ohio St. when he signed his letter of intent with the Cards but there was an unknown issue with his enrollment. Boykin’s status was in question leading all the way up to the beginning of 2016 camp.
Mike gives the Cards a much needed boost on the defensive front for the 2018 season when the Cards will be losing Drew Bailey, Chris Williams & De’Asian Richardson.
Here are Boykin’s highlights from the 2016 season with MS Gulf Coast.
