Jeff Walz and the University of Louisville Women’s Basketball program earned the #2 seed in the ACC Tournament that begins play this week in Greensboro, NC.

As a result of the #2 seed the Cards have earned a ‘double bye’ and will begin play on Friday after the Tournament officially begins on Wednesday.  Louisville will face the winner of Georgia Tech vs. Wake Forest/Clemson on Friday at 6:00 on the Regional Sports Network.

UofL finished its regular season 24-6 with a 15-1 league record.  Notre Dame secured the #1 overall seed going undefeated in conference play and finishing 28-1 overall.  The Irish were able to beat the Cards 66-61  in the KFC Yum! Center in what was Notre Dame’s closest conference game of 2015-16.

Louisville’s overall record is extremely impressive when noting the Cardinals overall youth (there are no seniors) and considering that UofL lost 4 of its first 5 games.

The squad that started 1-4 finished the season 23-2!
