On top of naming first baseman Logan Wyatt to their Second-Team All-American list yesterday, today Collegiate Baseball Newspaper has continued to show love to the University of Louisville Baseball program.
The Louisville Cardinals landed in the top 10 of Collegiate Baseball Newspaper’s preseason poll, will the Cardinal Nine landing at the #9 spot on the list. The Cards are one of seven ACC teams ranked in the top 25, with only North Carolina ranked ahead at #8. Perennial powerhouse LSU tops the poll, with rival Vanderbilt, UCLA, Texas Tech and Stanford rounding out the top 5.
The Cards head into 2019 with lofty exceptions following a moderately successful 45-19 campaign in 2018 and reaching as high as #23 in the rankings. They open up the 2019 season in Lakeland, FL against the the UConn Huskies on February 15th at 6pm.
