Trayvon Mullen
– One of the most highly regarded prospects considering UofL, Mullen, the 4* US Army All-American from Pompano Beach, Florida is a top priority at cornerback for Coach Petrino and staff. We spoke briefly to Mullen’s high school coach, Kareem Reid who stated UofL is still a legitimate option for Mullen. Coach Reid indicated the relationship to his cousin, Lamar Jackson, as well as other current players from the state of Florida are a very big factor keeping UofL in the mix. Mullen is scheduled to announce his decision on National Signing Day, 2/3/2016 and will choose between Louisville, Florida State, Clemson, LSU, and TCU.
Brian Lankford-Johnson
– One of Louisville’s top running back targets, Lankford-Johnson is set to have an in-home visit today (1/14/16) with inside linebackers coach Tony Grantham. He is still considering several schools including UCF, WKU, Akron, and UofL and is expected to announce his decision on 1/27. This is one Cards fans need to watch closely.
Giovanni LaFrance
– Louisville is in the process of trying to land at least 1 linebacker and LaFrance is one of Louisville’s top inside linebacker targets. The 6’1” 239lb backer from New Orleans, LA confirmed he is scheduled to visit UofL this weekend.
Dae Williams
– UofL is trying to land 2 running backs and 1 of those top targets is Dae Williams. The current SMU commit confirmed that he is scheduled to visit UofL this weekend. When asked what is enticing about the possibility of playing for Coach Petrino and UofL, Williams stated “Well, they win games. Coach Petrino is an outstanding coach and the football program as a whole is very impressive”. While Williams is currently committed to SMU, UofL and Tulsa are schools he is still considering. At 6’2” 232lbs, Williams is a physical specimen the coaches believe has loads of potential.
