The first week after the regular season ended has been a busy one for the Louisville football coaching staff as they were out hitting the recruiting trail hard. This weekend the staff returns home to host five official visitors including one current Cardinal commit, Lyn Strange.

One of Louisville’s primary goals in finishing the 2017 recruiting class is to recruit the offensive and defensive lines and hopefully land a couple impact players on either side. One of the biggest (literally and figuratively) targets is current Florida commit Kadeem Telfort. Playing at talent rich Booker T. Washington high school in Florida, Telfort, along with teammate Guy Thomas, were visited by Louisville assistant coach Cort Dennison this past week. A 6’7″ 300lbs four star offensive tackle, Telfort is a priority for the staff who will try to flip his commitment this weekend.

Another major target on the offensive line, 6’7″ 305lbs junior college lineman Ronald Rudd will also be in town this weekend. Rudd, currently committed to UCLA, holds offers from Baylor, Washington St., Missouri, Colorado, and Utah. He is rated a 3-star and the #17 junior college player nationally by 247Sports.

On the opposite side of the line, 3-star defensive tackle Jordon Scott, is a one time Florida commit. At 6’1″ 345lbs, Scott is an immovable force on the interior of the defensive line. He currently holds offers from teams such as Florida St., Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC, & West Virginia.

Also visiting this weekend is outside linebacker and Miami commit Bradley Jennings. At 6’2″ 218lbs, Jennings is rated a 3-star and the #45 outside linebacker prospect nationally according to the 247Sports composite index. Jennings currently holds offers from schools including Florida St., Michigan, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

Last but not least, current commit Lyn Strange is also scheduled to make his official to Louisville this weekend. Strange committed to Louisville July 15th during the “Light Up The Ville” event for recruits. At 6’3″ 190 lbs, Strange is rated a 3-star by 247Sports and holds offers from schools such as Miami, WKU, Syracuse, Indiana, and Cincinnati.
