Louisville Football improved its bowl resume with this Saturday’s lambasting of Kentucky. UofL will have to wait until the conference championships are complete and the College Football Playoff is announced to learn their bowl fate, but the Cards did the best they could to build onto its bowl position with its 8th win Saturday. As usual, Notre Dame lost late in the season (Stanford) and may drop out of New Year’s Six consideration and would then steal bowls from ACC schools.

Here is where Petrino’s squad is currently projected to go and who the ‘experts’ believe they will play. It is interesting to see David Hale pick a rematch for Louisville & Purdue in the Pinstripe Bowl and also for Brad Crawford to pick UofL to the Music City Bowl. Many believe that the Music City Bowl isn’t an option for an ACC school this year as the Gator Bowl/Music City agreed to an 8 year agreement where each bowl would rotate 4 ACC/4 Big Ten schools evenly…… but the bowls could agree on better placement if the teams selected were better for each bowl despite the agreement.

Right now 3 writers have Louisville pegged for the Sun Bowl, 2 writers believe the Gator is the option, 1 Music City & 1 Pinstripe. Last week UofL was on the radar for the Camping World (formerly Russell Athletic in Orlando) but with Notre Dame dropping a game that idea seems to be off the board.
