The Louisville baseball team’s previously postponed home contest against Kentucky has been rescheduled forTuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium.

The Cardinals and Wildcats were originally scheduled to play in Lexington on April 28, but that game has now been shifted to Louisville. The new date for the Louisville-Kentucky game in Lexington is Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m., at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The first matchup of the two-game series between the in-state foes was slated for April 8 at Jim Patterson Stadium but was postponed by heavy rain and lightning.

Tickets purchased for the previously scheduled date (April 8) will be honored for the new date (April 28). The purchased ticket for the April 8 game will be required for re-entry on Tuesday night. Additional tickets for Tuesday’s make-up game will be on sale through the University of Louisville Ticket Office starting Friday (April 24) at 9 a.m., ET and can be purchased in person at the Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium location or by phone at 502-852-5151.

Up next, the No. 3 Cardinals host Bethune-Cookman for a three-game weekend set at Jim Patterson Stadium. Friday’s series-opener against the Wildcats will be the annual Patriotic Game with first pitch set for 6 p.m., ET. The teams will also play on Saturday (1 p.m.) andSunday (1 p.m.) and admission is free throughout the weekend.
