Armed with one of the most challenging schedules in school history while making its debut in the powerful Atlantic Coast Conference, the University of Louisville has reaffirmed its commitment to providing fans with a great college baseball experience.

Granting unprecedented access to the nationally-ranked baseball team, the Louisville Cardinals will once again offer free admission to 32 of the 33 home games at Jim Patterson Stadium during the 2015 season.

“For our inaugural season in the ACC, it was important to us that we continue to provide the best fan experience possible at Jim Patterson Stadium,” said UofL senior associate athletic director Mark Jurich. “The 2015 season will be a special one for everyone with the Louisville baseball program, but it will also be a memorable one for our fans, who will have the opportunity to support an elite program in a first class facility against top-level competition.”

Free admission has been a long-standing benefit of being a fan of the Louisville baseball program. Since its opening in 2005, Jim Patterson Stadium has provided open gates to fans, helping to create one of the great home field advantages in all of college baseball. Among the nation’s leaders in attendance, Louisville has hosted multiple record-breaking crowds in recent years, including packing in more than 22,000 fans during last season’s postseason run to the NCAA College World Series.

Gates to the stadium are open two hours prior to first pitch, so early-arriving fans can enjoy the last few swings of batting practice.  Seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis. Special group outings and patio reservations are accepted free of charge. For more information on setting-up a free group outing, e-mail UofLBaseball@GoCards.com.

There is only one ticketed-event during the regular season (Wednesday, April 8) and members of the Dugout Club, the program’s booster club, will receive first priority on purchasing tickets to that game as well as all postseason games at Patterson Stadium. Details on how to order tickets to the game will be announced in early March.

For every other regular season home game, you can bring the entire family and enjoy free baseball when you visit Jim Patterson Stadium.

LOUISVILLE PARTNERING WITH ANC SPORTS FOR PATTERSON STADIUM VIDEO BOARD

The University of Louisville is partnering with ANC Sports for the installation of a new LED video board in right-centerfield at Jim Patterson Stadium. The all-digital surface will more than quadruple the size of the current video space and will measure 36-feet wide and 23-feet tall.

The new high-definition video display system will be an added benefit to the fan experience at Jim Patterson Stadium with live action and video replays becoming more prevalent as well as added statistical information, graphics and animation. The state-of-the-art video board is schedule to be ready for opening day of the 2015 season.

ANC Sports Enterprises, the industry leader in team and venue services, has also done work with Fenway Park, Dodger Stadium and Safeco Field along with many other MLB and professional sports stadiums. They recently completed installation of the video boards at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium, which opened in the fall as the home facility for the Louisville men’s and women’s soccer programs.
