Louisville Football received its 23rd commitment of the 2016 Signing Class on Thursday afternoon when Sapulpa (Sapulpa, OK) Running Back (6-2, 232 lbs) made his pledge to the Cards and announced his choice on Twitter.

Williams is a 2-star prospect according to all 3 major recruiting services and was recruited by Garrick McGee. Dae was on campus this past weekend for an official visit and chose the Cards over an offer from Virginia Tech and recently decommitted from SMU.

Dae Williams who spoke with TheCrunchZone.com’s Chris Person said that what Petrino did with Michael Bush influenced his decision. He also said that when recruiting Dae, Garrick McGee told the running back: “Coach McGee said I could be the best Running Back in the nation.”

Dae Williams joins Tobias Little, Kordell Slater, P.J. Blue, Chris Williams, Ronald Walker, James DeMatto, Jaquelle Green, Lamarques Thomas, Caleb Tillman, Tabarius Peterson, Keion Wakefield, Mike Boykin, Jawon Pass, Malik Staples, Taylor Yamanhoa, Seth Dawkins, Rodjay Burns, Robbie Bell, Derek Dorsey, Austin Cummins, Tylin Oden and Austin Johnson in the 2016 signing class that will sign in two weeks.
