(TheCrunchZone.com NOTE: We believe that TJ McCoy will battle with Cole Bentley for the center position at UofL but is more likely to play Right Guard for the Cards in 2019. Congratulations to TJ for the recognition, but for full transparency that’s what we understand about the Center position at UofL prior to Camp opening).
Senior center T.J. McCoy of the University of Louisville was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List on Friday.
A graduate transfer from Florida, McCoy is one of 81 players on this preseason list after playing three seasons with the Gators.
Last season, McCoy played in just four games after starting nine games during the 2017 before his season was ended due to an injury.
As a redshirt freshman, the Clermont, Fla., native made his debut in the second week of the season versus Kentucky, going on to start four contests that season.
Louisville opens its 2019 season with a home game against Notre Dame on Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
