Former Louisville Center Chinanu Onuaku has signed his deal with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets selected Nanu #37 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft last month in the 2nd round.
Onuaku’s deal is fully guaranteed with Houston for 3 years and carries a guaranteed value of $2,498,982. The deal does have a restricted Free Agent club option 4th year, when Chinanu would be 22. If the 4th year option is initiated by the Rockets the franchise would owe Nanu $1.326M.
Chinanu will earn $543,471 as a rookie, $905,249 in his 2nd season & $1,050,262 in his 3rd & final fully guaranteed year on his rookie deal.
