With the 697th pick in the 23rd round of the 2019 MLB Draft, the Atlanta Braves have selected University of Louisville junior outfielder Drew Campbell.

One of the more underrated players on a star-studded roster, Drew Campbell has proven that he is every bit as valuable as the rest of the Cardinal Nine. The Jeffersonville, IN native sports a .283 batting average, and is one of only 3 Cardinals to have more walks than strikeouts on the season (Logan Wyatt, Zeke Pinkham). He also had the second longest hitting streak for a Louisville player in 2019, driving in a base hit in 11 straight games and coming second only to Tyler Fitzgerald’s 18 game hitting streak.
