4* point guard Elijah Weaver from Oldsmar, FL visited Louisville this weekend on an unofficial visit. The 6’4″ 195lbs prospect said he got to see an “intense” practice from the Cardinals and identified Donovan Mitchell, Ray Spalding, and Deng Adel as players that really stood out to him.

A member of the class of 2018, Weaver liked how the coaches were so involved with the players and getting them better. While on his visit, he was able to speak to Coach Pitino, Coach Balado, and Coach Johnson who told him that he would be a key part in the 2018 class “They say I would come in and start right away because their point guard would be graduating” Weaver said, “Style wise, I fit right in. I’m an up tempo scoring guard and that’s the way they play.”

Weaver, who is currently being recruited hardest by Louisville and Florida right now, said that the staff discussed an official visit this fall.
