The NFL Draft’s 2nd day brought the 2nd & 3rd Round and the Cards had 3 more players selected after DeVante Parker being picked by the Miami Dolphins in Round 1 on Thursday night.

On Friday, things got going for UofL when Jamon Brown was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the 72nd pick.  Jamon, from Louisville’s Fern Creek High School, came to the Cards as a defensive tackle and was switched to Offensive Tackle in his true freshman season and was immediately thrust into action.  Jamon went through a transformation with the arrival of Bobby Petrino and slimmed down.  The result is Jamon getting picked by St. Louis in the 3rd round rather than being a 3rd day selection.

After Jamon went off the board.  The Cards had back-to-back selections with picks #81 & #82.  The Buffalo Bills took John Miller who will join Preston Brown, Alex Kupper, and Eric Wood and will play for new Offensive Line Coach Aaron Kromer and Head Coach Rex Ryan.  The Bills have shown an affinity for Louisville players recently, as did Rex Ryan who comes to Buffalo from the Jets.

Speaking of the Jets, with pick #82 New York took Lorenzo Mauldin off the board and will join Calvin Pryor, Bilal Powell, and Breno Giacomini with the Gang Green.  Lozo will join Todd Bowles (former DC at AZ Cardinals) and is sure to become a fan favorite.

AFC East teams have drafted 3 of the 4 Cardinals so far in the 2015 Draft with DeVante Parker going yesterday to the Dolphins and today Mauldin and Miller going to the Jets and Bills respectively.  Rounds 4-7 will continue tomorrow and we’ll do our best to continue the coverage of the draft during the Kentucky Derby festivities.
